Spend 6-7 weeks in France or Belgium, living with a host family, attending school and being fully immersed into the European way of life!
Once the matching process has been complete, exchange students will arrive from France or Belgium towards the end of August. They will be hosted by the Canadian families in their homes from the end of August until mid-October. Exchange students will attend school with their Canadian partners and will share in the daily life of their families. The Canadian partners will then travel to France or Belgium in February and will return towards the end of March. While on exchange in Europe, they will also share in the daily life of their host families and attend school.
The Education Abroad Canada team is available throughout the entire exchange process and will always do their best to accommodate the needs of students.
A $1000 non-refundable deposit is required with the preliminary application form. The balance is due once the matching process has been complete. Payment options are available upon request.
The Cost Covers
- Screening, selection, and matching of exchange partners based on interests and age
- International flights with chaperones (Toronto to Paris)
- Departure taxes and transfers in Paris to your final destination
- Round-trip travel from Paris to your final destination
- Two day visit of Paris including hotels, meals and visits to The Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame de Paris, the Champs-Elysées, The Louvre, a Hop-on Hop-off tour of the city, Sacré-Coeur, Montmartre and a boat ride on the Seine
- Two orientation meetings – one prior to the arrival of your exchange student and one prior to your departure
- Insurance covering travel, hospitalization, repatriation and third party liability
- Administrative fees
- Permanent contact with an Education Abroad Canada representative and contact with a representative from our partner organizations while on exchange
